Terms of Service

LiverWare is built and run by the LiverWare Capstone Team as a student capstone project affiliated with the University of the Immaculate Conception for academic purposes.

The University of the Immaculate Conception is not the operator of LiverWare. It does not control the service, enter into these terms with users, or take responsibility for LiverWare unless expressly stated.

The responsible team members are Stephen Nailes, Paula Honrada, Troy Peralta, and Kert Abajo.

Screening results do not confirm or rule out MASLD, liver fibrosis, alcohol-related liver disease, or any other condition. A low, moderate, or high result is an educational classification, not a diagnosis.

Do not start, stop, or change any medication, treatment, diet, test, or appointment because of LiverWare alone. Discuss your symptoms, laboratory results, and clinical decisions with a licensed physician or other qualified professional.

The doctor directory and route information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Confirm credentials, schedules, fees, services, and availability directly with the provider before relying on it.

Livvy and related features use AI-generated text, retrieval systems, and public web sources. AI-generated output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong even when it sounds confident or includes citations.

AI output is for general education and help using LiverWare. It is not professional medical advice and must not be the only basis for a personal health decision.

You are responsible for reviewing cited sources, checking important facts, avoiding unnecessary sensitive details in prompts, and seeking professional advice for personal medical concerns.

Keep your account information accurate and your credentials and devices reasonably secure, and tell us if you suspect someone accessed your account. You are responsible for activity through your account unless the law provides otherwise.

With Google sign-in, you allow Google to share the basic identity described in the Privacy Policy. It does not give LiverWare access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, passwords, or other Google content.

Do not create an account for someone else without proper authority, impersonate another person, or use another user's credentials or private records.

You keep any rights you have in the information, prompts, notes, images, and receipts you submit. You grant the LiverWare Capstone Team a limited permission to store, process, reproduce, and transmit that material only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the features you use.

Make sure your content is accurate enough for your purpose and that you have the right to provide it. Avoid submitting another person's health or identity information unless you have lawful authority and a valid reason. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

The LiverWare name, interface, original code, written material, and branding are owned or controlled by their project contributors unless a notice states otherwise. Third-party libraries, references, provider information, maps, images, and cited sources stay subject to their owners' licenses.

These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use LiverWare for its intended purposes. They do not transfer ownership of the service or third-party content to you.

LiverWare is a developing academic project. Features may change, pause, reset, or end without a guarantee of notice, uptime, long-term support, or data migration.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, data, third-party services, project integrity, or legal compliance, including when these terms are violated.

You can stop using LiverWare at any time and request account deletion in Settings. Requests are reviewed and may need identity verification or limited retention for security, legal, and technical reasons.

So far as Philippine law allows, LiverWare is provided on an "as available" basis, without promises that it is uninterrupted, error-free, clinically complete, secure against every threat, or suitable for a particular health decision.

We are not responsible for medical decisions, delayed care, provider conduct, third-party content, third-party service failures, or losses from relying on screening or AI output as professional advice.

So far as the law allows, our liability for claims connected with LiverWare is limited to direct losses proven to result from our actionable conduct. Nothing in these terms removes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If your misuse of LiverWare causes a third-party claim or avoidable project cost, you agree to cooperate in resolving it and, where the law allows, cover reasonable losses directly caused by that misuse.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without overriding any consumer or privacy protection that applies by law.

If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a provision right away does not waive the right to enforce it later.

We may revise these terms as LiverWare changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use LiverWare after revised terms take effect means you accept them, except where the law requires a different form of notice or consent.
